About the Corporate Relations function at RNSFGC

The Corporate Relations (CR) function serves as the strategic bridge between academia and industry. Its core objective is to enhance student employability through skill-building and industry exposure, build sustainable corporate partnerships, and strengthen the institution’s industry relevance and brand positioning.

Overall, the Corporate Relations function plays a vital role in strengthening the institution’s industry interface, enhancing its reputation and ensuring that students are equipped with relevant skills and opportunities for successful careers.

Functions of the Corporate Relations Team:

  • Industry–Academia Integration: Establish and nurture relationships with leading companies and industry leaders to facilitate guest lectures, internships, field trips, collaborative initiatives and tech-integrated sessions. Facilitate connects with industry leaders through interactions, seminars and workshops to strengthen industry relations and strategic partnerships. Encourage holistic student development through professional exposure and mentorship programs.
  • Skill development and experiential learning for students: Ensure meaningful exposure and practical skill development for students by identifying emerging skill demands and organising targeted workshops and training interventions to bridge competency gaps and improve job readiness through career guidance and mock interview sessions. Facilitate industrial visits and experiential learning programs
  • Faculty development programs: Drive Faculty Development Programs on AI awareness and other relevant topics to help them to be self-aware as well as educate students. Design a coaching/mentorship program for the benefit of students and faculty to enhance effectiveness.
  • Corporate Networking & Brand Positioning: Leverage on high-level industry connects working in corporate leadership roles for mentoring, recruitment pipelines and institutional advocacy. Additionally, represent RNSFGC at corporate forums, leadership summits and networking platforms to position the college as a preferred talent partner. Organise or plan thought-leadership panels, ensuring faculty and student involvement. Strengthen the institution’s brand image and industry presence
  • CSR & Sponsored Initiatives: Explore corporate social responsibility collaborations for scholarships, sponsored labs, community outreach projects and infrastructure support. Facilitate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with companies and organisations

Shanti Uday, Head – Corporate Relations

Shanti Uday is a HR Strategic Advisor, an ICF Certified Career & Leadership Development Coach.

  • She is a seasoned HR professional with 30 years of enriching experience across HR Operations, Administration, Talent Acquisition, and Shared Services. Prior to joining RNS FGC, Shanti was the Principal Director at LTIMindtree driving the HR Operations globally. She is a strategic and innovative leader with a proven track record in driving large-scale process transformations and leadership development programs and initiatives that deliver measurable business impact across global geographies.
  • Presently, in her role as the Corporate Relations Head at RNSFGC, her primary responsibility is to bridge the gap between Academia and Corporate. Towards this effort, she drives customised skill-based training programs for the UG and PG students with an intent to mould the students to not only be knowledgeable in their respective disciplines but also be well-rounded individuals ready to adapt, lead, and contribute meaningfully to society.
