Physical Education is Education. It is a meaningful and worthwhile experience, obtained through participation in physical activities, “that are sound”. Physical education is to be active and intended to make its maximum contribution to the growth and development of every youth in India. It should necessarily be organized as an integral part of general education.

The term education implies the drawing out and development of all the power of an individual, physical, mental, oral as well as social. Where the education aspect of physical education has been emphasized as “one accumulation of whole some experiences through participation in large muscle activities that promote optimum growth and development”. Physical activities or education tools for the education of the body and education through the body. Physical education as a distinct contribution to make in the enrichment of general education to promote better education in every youth we should insist there activities. That is “Physical education, health education and recreation”.

FACILITIES

Facilities

  • For the students who have taken part in state, national and international level sports competitions
  • A special reduction in fees up to 20% is provided under sports quota, to encourage such student.
  • Transportation allowances and Dearness allowance are taking part in sports competition in different places; also we have provided Jersey and shorts for them.
  • For the students winning University level Inter collegiate sports Competitions we have provided Track suite and Mementos to motivate them.
  • We also conduct Inter class competitions in the college every year. For the winners in this competition we distribute medals, trophies and certificates.
  • We are provided with a separate room where in all our sports equipment are stored and distribution of this equipment will take place as and when required by the students.
  • We have provided sports jersey to all the students.
  • We have Yoga Centre at RNS First Grade College for the health benefit of students and staff.

Dr. R N SHETTY, President of RNSFGC knowing that education without physical education was baseless before starting the intuition class rooms are also must. So he has given much importance to the play fields by given this institution a best area for many play fields like volley ball, Ball badminton, Basket ball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Throw ball and Shuttle Badminton. Till today the department has been enlightening the students with this regard and helping them by giving maximum opportunities to participate in all ate activities they are interested, every year 2-3 students are representing Bangalore University for the all India inter university tournament in various disciplines. They are encouraged by giving colors for inter collegiate tournaments and track suits for the winning teams/players

            PLAY GROUND

  • In the Campus of RNSFGC we have 2 play ground of 130*110meter and 100*60meters. In that we have a volley Ball court of 9*18 meters, Kabaddi court of 10*13 meter, Kho-Kho court of 29*16 meter, Foot ball ground of 90*120 meters, Throw Ball court and also we are having indoor court that is Shuttle Badminton, Table tennis, Chess and Carom Board.
  • Students are making proper utilization of available facilities by taking active part in all sports competition held.
