PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The curriculum framework for BBA degree is structured to offer a broad outline that helps in understanding the creative potential of new career growth opportunities based on changing industrial and societal needs. The course is upgraded keeping in mind the aspirations of students, changing nature of the subject as well as the learning environment. The core concepts within subject have been updated to incorporate the recent advancements, techniques to upgrade the skills of learners to create a focus on various functional areas of business. Problem Based learning has been integrated into the curriculum for a better understanding of various concepts in business and commerce. The syllabus under NEP-2020 is expected to enhance the level of understanding among students and maintain the high standards of graduate program offered in the country. Effort has been made to integrate the use of recent technology and MOOCs (Massive open online course) to assist teaching-learning process among students. The major objective of the graduate program is to elevate the subject knowledge among students, and making them as critical thinkers thereby students can address the issues related to industry and other business sectors. In a nutshell, the course serves as plethora of opportunities in different fields’ right from accounting, financial markets, marketing and human resource management.
OBJECTIVES
- To develop ethical managers with inter disciplinary knowledge
- To develop entrepreneurs
- To prepare students to take the responsibility of full line of Finance function of a company with special reference to SME sector.
- To prepare students to take the responsibility of full line of Marketing function of a company with special reference to SME sector.
- To prepare students to take the responsibility of full line of Human Resource function of a company with special reference to SME sector.
- To develop IT enabled global middle level managers for solving real life business problems.
- To develop business analysts for companies, capital markets and commodity markets.
- To prepare students to take up higher education to become business scientists, researchers consultants and teachers, with core competencies.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
A candidate who has passed two years Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission to this programmes.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
On completion of BBA, aspirants generally opt for MBA. However, candidates can also choose to explore job opportunities in various fields such as banking, urban infrastructure, business consultancies, advertising, manufacturing and Government sectors. Some major job profiles one can opt for after completion of BBA are as follows: Human Resource Executive, Marketing Executive, Marketing Manager, Sales Executive, Research and Development (R&D) Manager, Bank Branch Manager, Commercial Lender, Financial Analyst, Financial Planner, Financial Manager, Portfolio Manager, Security Analyst, Trust Manager, Marketing Executive, Sales Executive, Advertising Executive, Market Research Analyst, HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, HR Recruiter. Courses which can also be pursued after BBA are Entrepreneurship Development Program, Masters of Business Administration, PGDM, Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, PG Diploma in Banking, Masters in Finance Management and Masters in Hotel Management, PG in Data Science, Masters in Marketing Management, Masters in Advertising, Certification In foreign Languages.
Management Club – Ignited Minds
The Department of BBA provides a platform for young minds to ignite a sense of creativity. The Management club hosts several events throughout the year to bridge the gap between industry and academia. The club plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing every aspect of experience and exposure needed by the students. The club is focussed on management and communication activities like Product launch, debate, group discussion and presentations, etc.

Industrial visits: Industrial visits help BBA students to understand the various operations of organizations like production, distribution and promotion and gives more practical exposure to students to understand how the corporate entities manage their operations.
Class activities:
The Department of BBA aims at developing professionally groomed students who have schooling in a diverse range of subject areas. We conduct various activities for I, II and III year students separately in the classrooms apart from their academics to master them with fundamentals of Business Management and Leadership, gain insights into the major areas of global business. We involve the Alumni members to host and judge some of the events.

Talent Hunt:
The Department of BBA creates a unique platform for new batch of students every year to showcase their talents through ‘Talent Hunt’ programme. This helps students unleash their creativity and endowment in different fields like, dance, singing, and drama, etc.
Guest Lectures
As we face the perpetual challenge of keeping each class session fresh and interactive, we conduct Guest Lectures for the students to enhance their educational experience. It is a great way for the students to get maximum exposure about real life experiences as guest speakers come from varied stream and top institutions to provide valuable information.
Freshers Day
We at RNS First Grade College celebrate Freshers Day in the beginning of every academic year to welcome newcomers in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. It is the day where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college.
Xploria
We celebrate Project Exhibition under the title ‘Xploria’. This event provides a great opportunity for the students to explore and learn various management concepts with ‘Model Making’. This programme imparts Team building, Resolving conflicts, Time management, Leadership and Presentation skills for the students apart from their subject knowledge.
